Syntactx processes Customer Data as instructed by our Customers, and has no direct control or ownership of the Personal Information it processes. Our Customers are responsible for complying with regulations or laws regarding notice, disclosure and/or obtaining consent prior to transferring the data to Syntactx for processing purposes.

 

Syntactx will not share or distribute Customer Data except as provided in the Agreements between Syntactx and our Customers. These Agreements may provide Syntactx with the rights to process or use Personal Information for Syntactx’s business purposes including providing or developing Syntactx SaaS Products, preventing or addressing service issues, support or technical problems, responding to our Customer’s instructions, or as may be required by law.

 

Please direct any questions regarding access, correction, amendment, or deletion of your Personal Information to the Customer (the data controller) for which you work or which collected your Personal Information using our platform or applications. If our Customer requests us to remove the Personal Information to comply with data protection regulations, Syntactx will respond to their request within 30 business days. We will refer any request for disclosure of Personal Information by a law enforcement authority to our Customer unless prohibited by law, and will make such disclosures where we conclude that we are legally obligated to do so.

 

Changes to this Policy

Syntactx reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new privacy policy at this location; Syntactx will provide notification of any material changes through our Sites at least thirty (30) business days prior to the change taking effect. Syntactx Technologies (“Syntactx”, or “We”) is committed to adhere to the principles of the EU-US Privacy Shield framework and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield framework with respect to personal data from the European Union and Switzerland, submitted by our customers in reliance on the Privacy Shield where Syntactx acts as a data processor. Syntactx also commits to adhere to the principles of the US-EU and Swiss-US Privacy Shield frameworks with respect to human resources data and to personal data from the European Union and Switzerland submitted to its websites.

 

Data processed and purposes of data processing: Syntactx provides websites and applications for our customers to operate aspects of their businesses, including the collection, processing, and storage of data. Syntactx’s customers decide what data to submit to our platform and applications, which may include information about their authorized users, employees, clinical trial subjects, and investigational site staff. Syntactx processes this data as instructed by our customers. Our customer instructions may include processing or using personal data for purposes of developing the Syntactx platform, applications and services, preventing or addressing technical problems, responding to support issues, responding to our customer’s instructions, or as may be required by law.

 

Third-party access to personal data and liability: Syntactx only discloses personal data as instructed by our customers. In some cases, we may use third-party providers to assist us in providing or developing our platform, applications, or services. These third-parties may access, process, or store personal data the provision their services to Syntactx. Syntactx maintains contracts with these providers restricting their access, use, and disclosure of personal data in compliance with our Privacy Shield obligations.

 

Right to access: As Syntactx is a data processor. Individuals who wish to seek access to, correct, amend, or delete personal data should contact the Syntactx customer (the data controller) who submitted your personal data to our platform or applications. In some instances you may be able to perform these operations yourself through our applications. If the Syntactx customer requests Syntactx to remove the personal data comply with data protection regulations, Syntactx will respond to our customer’s request within 30 days.

 

Compelled disclosure: Syntactx may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. Syntactx will notify our customers of any such requests unless prohibited by law.
